A Practice Update: New Patient Appointments & Waitlist

When I started Thrive Performance & Nutrition, I had one goal: to provide compassionate, individualized, evidence-based nutrition care that helps people make sustainable changes to improve their health.

Over the years, that mission has opened doors I never expected. In addition to working with patients through my private practice, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Director of a university nutrition clinic, becoming more involved in nutrition research, and preparing for an exciting new academic chapter beginning this spring (more details to come!).

I’m incredibly grateful to every patient, healthcare provider, colleague, and supporter who has been part of this journey. Your trust has allowed Thrive Performance & Nutrition to grow into something truly meaningful.

A Practice Update

As my professional responsibilities continue to expand, I’ve made the decision to temporarily pause accepting new nutrition counseling patients.

This wasn’t a decision I made lightly.

One of my core values has always been providing personalized, evidence-based care. Rather than overextending myself, I want to ensure my current patients continue receiving the time, attention, and support they deserve.

If you’re interested in working together in the future, I’ve created a new patient waitlist on my website. While I can’t guarantee appointment availability or provide an estimated timeline, I’ll reach out as openings become available.

Looking for Resources?

If you found Thrive because you’re navigating Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS/hEDS), Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD), POTS, MCAS, digestive disorders, or other complex chronic conditions, I invite you to follow my Complex Dietitian Substack.

There, I regularly share free, evidence-based nutrition articles, practical strategies, and updates on emerging research. My hope is that these resources can support you while my practice is at capacity.

Thank You

This is not goodbye to private practice. And if you are a current patient, you will still be supported.

Instead, it’s an opportunity to continue growing in ways that ultimately strengthen the care, education, and research I’m able to provide.

Thank you for being part of this journey. I’m excited for what’s ahead and look forward to sharing more with you soon.

Warmly,

Crystal McLean, MS, RDN, LDN
