Hi friends,
If you have seen my social media posts lately, you know that a few things have been happening this year….
In January, I had major surgery (spinal fusion) at the Mayo Clinic. Over a year ago I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis in my L5-S1, which is basically a broken back. I tried to avoid surgery and continued to be active and do massage therapy. Unfortunately, the condition progressed and I had to pursue surgery to avoid permanent damage to my nerves. It’s been quite a roller coaster and I am still recovering.

This whole experience has inspired me to expand on my usual content and provide more guidance on the importance of balanced nutrition AND fitness/activity.
I did some major prep work for this surgery both in the gym and in the kitchen. Aside from encouraging others that may be going through the same type of recovery (or are about to), I really think y’all will love some of my nutrition and fitness tips too!
I have some exciting things coming up this year and I can’t wait to take you on the journey with me.
Talk soon,
Crystal Dee
