Hi friends,

I recently traveled to Baltimore for my new job as a project coordinator at a software consulting company. I am so excited about the opportunity. I had such a wonderful time at the office and an AMAZING time trying some of the food in Baltimore’s historic area.

My first stop was Point South Latin Kitchen – right next door to the hotel I stayed in. I walked in shortly after I arrived at the hotel from the airport. The owner, Bryson, was one of the nicest people and was a great introduction to the wonderful people of Baltimore. He opened this 100% gluten-free restaurant because of his personal experience with gluten. He shared is story and told me that he has celiac. He wanted to create a place that was safe for those who needed to avoid certain foods – especially gluten. I sat at the bar, chatted with the bartender, a local Reverend (a restaurant regular) and the owner.

I ordered the salmon – a recommendation of the hotel concierge. I also had a side of fried yucca with this amazing sauce (and loved them so much I ordered more to-go hehe). I will most definitely be back there. I can’t wait to take my Fiance. They really took care of me here and the owner/staff are great people. (Thank you)

My next stop was Bar Vazquez near the Inner Harbor (I think). I made my way over there after a brutal CrossFit workout at CrossFit Harbour East. I grabbed dinner with some family members that I haven’t seen in over 20 years. Bar Vasquez was fantastic about my food allergies and were able to make accommodations for my dish. I was on a salmon kick on this trip – grilled salmon with charred cauliflower.
