Remember that you get electrolytes from food that you eat. So eating + supplementing electrolytes on top of that without a need can create a problem.
If you are mostly sedentary and spend most of the time indoors, please don’t drink electrolyte supplements all day (in the absence of a medical condition). If your doctor recommended that you take these, please take that as prescribed.
Full disclosure: I’m in 𝐧𝐨 𝐰𝐚𝐲 demonizing these. They can be really great products. I do think there’s a common misconception that electrolytes can be consumed all day without consequence. The same could be said for energy drinks.
