Today is the first workday of daylight savings.

Coffee was an absolutely must this morning…..

Everyone morning, I enjoy a large cup of black coffee with one scoop of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides.  One thing that I’ve really grown to miss is coffee creamer. Unfortunately, the REAL stuff does not sit well with my body. It causes inflammation in my skin, my stomach, and my mind! I’ve had a difficult time finding a replacement for the creaminess of milk or half and half. Most products have an odd taste or an odd consistency. This morning, I tried a new product that I found at our local Kroger grocery store.

I’m big on food textures, especially when it comes to vegan milk alternatives. They tend to either be watery or there is a ton of separation of the ingredients once it is mixed with hot coffee/tea.

The hazelnut creamer does not separate. It mixes seamlessly with hot beverages. It glides over the tongue in the same smooth fashion as regular half and half.

This particular creamer is not sweet {I prefer unsweetened} BUT it’s not bitter. It’s very smooth and has a hint of hazelnut flavor.

Nutpods can be purchased directly through their company website, Amazon or your local grocery store. I found this product at our local Kroger in North Raleigh. It was about $3.75. I consider this price to be pretty reasonable.

What I love about this product is it has the shortest ingredients list I have ever found in a vegan milk alternative. Here is a snapshot below directly from their website:

I was so impressed that it didn’t have Carrageenan, an additive used to thicken, emulsify, and preserve foods and drinks. It’s a natural ingredient that comes from red seaweed.

It is known to cause a ton of bowel issues such as IBS, upset stomach and inflammation.

It is Whole30 approved, gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO, sugar-free (as in no sugar at all), soy-free, paleo and vegan.

It is NOT nut-free as it has an almond/coconut base.

I cannot say enough how impressed I was by this product.

Clean ingredients + amazing taste = a good morning & a good cup of coffee. Guilt free.
